CSU Therapist
Description

The CSU therapist is responsible for completing intake assessments, individual therapy and group therapy for clients being treated at the CSU. Direct Clinical Services for a broad range of mental health needs with adults to include diagnostic impressions, clinical assessments and referrals as needed.   

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy. 
  • Accurately and timely complete initial intakes, CTP’s, periodic reviews and annual CTP’s as needed. 
  • Participate in treatment team meetings with other staff members. 
  • Participate in in-center emergency system and hospital consultations as needed. 
  • Participate in crisis management system and hospital consultations as needed. 
  • Conduct civil commitment pre-screening evaluations as needed. 
  • Provide Targeted Case Management services to all assigned individuals to assist with resource coordination and treatment plan review/coordination. 
  • Formulate and execute discharge plans including providing psycho-educational experiences, communicating with support systems and providers, and coordinating placement. 
  • Meet all productivity, paperwork and other equality assurance expectations as specified by program coordinator. 
  • Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times.   
  • Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other LIFECORE Health Group’s policies, procedures, and management decisions. 
  • Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency.   
  • Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large. 
  • Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator. 
Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related Mental Health Field.  Hold a professional license, or obtain and maintain DMH Credentialing for Therapist, MH, IDD, and/or AD, whichever is appropriate to the population being served. 
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish professional relationships with clients and staff
