A Pharmacy Technician shall assist the pharmacist in filling, filing, delivering, and obtaining prescriptions for patients.
A Pharmacy Technician may count medications, input prescriptions, help with ordering and maintaining inventory, deliver prescriptions to patients, and all those services deemed legal by the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy’s Rules and Regulations to provide support and assistance to the pharmacist in providing pharmacy services. The Pharmacy Technician may also assist and guide the Pharmacy Support Coordinator with their duties.
A Pharmacy Technician must have an active and legal license with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy and be in good standing to practice in the state of Mississippi.
