Therapist - CSU

Therapy (group, individual, family); Crisis Management; Direct Clinical Services for a broad range of mental Health needs with adults and children to include diagnostic impressions, clinical assessments and referrals as needed

  1. Obtain Therapist Certification or License as required by the Department of Mental Health and maintain Certification/License in good standing.
  2. Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
  3. Accurately and timely complete initial intakes, CTP’s, periodic reviews and annual CTP’s as needed.
  4. Participate in treatment team meetings with other staff members.
  5. Participate in in-center emergency system and hospital consultations as needed.
  6. Participate in crisis management system and hospital consultations as needed.
  7. Conduct civil commitment pre-screening evaluations as needed.
  8. Provide Targeted Case Management services to all assigned individuals to assist with resource coordination and treatment plan review/coordination.
  9. Formulate and execute discharge plans including providing psycho-educational experiences, communicating with support systems and providers, and coordinating placement.
  10. Meet all productivity, paperwork and other equality assurance expectations as specified by program coordinator.
  11. Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times.  Conduct yourself in a manner which leaves a favorable impression with the public.
  12. Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other LIFECORE Health Group’s policies, procedures, and management decisions.
  13. Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency.  Refrain from malicious gossip at all times.
  14. Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large.
  15. Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator.
  16. Must possess leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  1. Master’s Degree in Mental Health Field
  2. Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist
  3. Valid Mississippi Driver’s License
