Description

The School Support Therapist is responsible for providing conscientious services and aid to LIFECORE Health Group’s consumers with behavioral, mental, emotional, or physical emotional problems.

Responsibilities

·         Provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and/or day treatment in the school setting

·         Consult with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes of problems and effect solutions

·         Arrange for medical, psychiatric and other assessment and evaluative measures that may disclose causes of difficulties and indicate remedial outcomes

·         Administer various assessments/inventories toward positive outcomes in treatment

·         Participate in all training required by the Department of Mental Health, LIFECORE Health Group and Board and Licensure renewal venues so as to maintain current licensures and credentials

·         Adhere to quality assurance guidelines

·         Provide all required documentation pertinent to provision of services

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·         Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work

·         Certification or Licensure by the Department of Mental Health or State Licensure Board

·         Valid Driver’s License
