Description

The Chief Financial Officer will help lead LIFECORE Health Group to excellence by ensuring: that the essential business and accounting functions of LIFECORE Health Group are conducted effectively and efficiently in order that revenue will be maximized, costs controlled, and that financial operations will comply with all legal and regulatory authority; that an effective management information system is in place in order that staff may have the technology tools necessary to perform their duties efficiently and that management may have access to significant data; and that other assigned administrative and support services of LIFECORE Health Group provide the service intended in their establishment.

Responsibilities

·         Supervise the accounting functions of LIFECORE Health Group, including general ledger, payroll, billing & accounts receivable, and accounts payable

·         Supervise the information services functions of LIFECORE Health Group

·         Supervise the support services functions of LIFECORE Health Group, including food service, transportation services, and plant operations

·         Research best practices in all areas of responsibility to ensure that LIFECORE Health Group is able to take advantage of business opportunities that arise

·         Consult with all members of the executive staff concerning all phases of LIFECORE Health Group’s services

·         Report to the Commission (governing board) of LIFECORE Health at its monthly meetings

·         Provide leadership for LIFECORE Health Group’s directors and supervisors, including coordination of activities, the dissemination of critical information, and data reporting

·         Liaison with auditors, monitors, and other regulatory bodies concerning financial audits; compliance with accounting requirements; and compliance for food service, transportation, and plant operations

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·         Master’s degree or academic equivalent from an accredited college or university

·         Current license as a Certified Public Account

·         A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in accounting, finance, or related area, including the supervision of financial personnel

·         Experience in the use of management information systems

·         Demonstrated leadership ability

·         Desire for the continuing development of personal skills and the continuing progress of LIFECORE health Group toward excellence

·         Excellent interpersonal skills that allow the incumbent to build strong relationships both within the agency and with vital outside interests
